Quality & Testing

Quality control built around the approved product brief.

Each project is reviewed through incoming material checks, in-process inspection and final release checks. The exact control plan follows the agreed material structure, finished format and order requirements.

Quality control stages

Three control gates from material receipt to shipment release.

The relevant checks are agreed against the product and supply brief. Inspection does not replace final project-specific approval or any buyer-required testing program.

01

Incoming material inspection

Confirm material identity and condition before production.

Incoming material is checked against the approved material reference, including available identification, visual condition and the characteristics specified for the order.

  • Material identification and order reference
  • Visual condition and surface review
  • Relevant incoming dimensions or structure checks

Reflective material during production
In-process material and construction review.
02

In-process inspection

Review the construction and finished format as production proceeds.

In-process checks focus on the approved material route and the points that affect the finished construction, roll format or liner and cover configuration.

  • Material construction and layer alignment
  • Surface appearance and roll formation
  • Relevant process dimensions or configuration checks
03

Pre-shipment inspection

Confirm the finished product, pack-out and release information.

Before shipment, the finished format is reviewed against the order brief so dimensions, roll or unit configuration, packaging and labels can be checked together.

  • Finished dimensions and visual appearance
  • Roll, liner or cover configuration
  • Packaging, labeling and release documentation

Finished format and dimensional review.

Typical test items

Checks selected for the product structure and project brief.

Not every product requires every item. The selected checks, values and test conditions should be confirmed against the relevant product record and order specification.

01

Visual appearance

Surface finish, material condition and visible construction consistency.

02

Dimensions and format

Width, length, thickness or finished unit configuration where specified.

03

Material construction

Layer structure or selected material components against the approved brief.

04

Coating or basis weight

Checked where the agreed product specification calls for it.

05

Lamination condition

Relevant to products that include a lamination or bonded construction.

06

Pack-out and labels

Packaging, identification and handling information for shipment release.

Quality records

Keep the product brief and release information aligned.

Quality control is most useful when the approved product brief, inspection focus and shipment information reference the same material and finished-format requirement.

  • Approved material and finished-format brief
  • Incoming, in-process and final check records as applicable
  • Packaging and labeling reference
  • Published technical documents or buyer-required information
